Our company is staffed by committed and long standing qualified personnel whose aim is to provide a professional personal service .

Our market research from the beginning supported our view that all things considered clients save by using agents .... our belief is about 15% per annum of the client's expenditure PLUS relieve qualified staff of routine clerical work.

A brief chronological summary of events since incorporation:

1977 Senior librarians throughout the country assisted us with the joint development of an efficient and flexible system. Globe Subscription Agency Pty. Limited was incorporated on March 25 in Sydney, Australia.

1978 March 14, the company's founder and Managing Director, Mr. Peter Wyner was invited to address a meeting of members of the Library Association of Australia, NSW Special Libraries Sectional Group, at Sydney University, on the subject of "PERIODICAL AGENTS AND THEIR SERVICES - ARE THEY WORTH IT?" The address notes were published in AUSTRALIAN SPECIAL LIBRARIES NEWS Volume 11 Issue 2, June 1978. A reprint of the article is available on request.

1979 Saw the need to create an automated serials system to substantially reduce clerical duties of library staff. A system which allowed automatic accessioning, claiming and the ability to manipulate and report on management type data. Once again we sought advice from the Library profession. Together we designed an automated system to be used in the library as a "stand-alone" but integrated with Globe's in-house computer for regular updating.

1980 Periodical Automated Subscription System, Globe-Pass was developed. On October 30, the first system was successfully installed in the library of NSW DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE. Automated accessioning, claiming and reporting became a reality. The exhausting and time consuming clerical work of manually updating title information had ended. Vital title information was now being electronically transferred and updated by Globe's in-house computer, monthly.

1986 The company purchased its own office premises in the heart of a busy commercial centre in Sydney, Australia.
